Doeren Mayhew Promotes Five New Shareholders for 2020

TROY, MICH. – Jan. 2, 2020 – Doeren Mayhew, one of the top 65 largest accounting and advisory firms in the United States, announces the promotion of five new shareholders effective Jan. 1, 2020. This new shareholder class includes professionals in the tax and audit practices within the firm’s Michigan and Texas offices.

“We are proud to welcome these outstanding professionals to our leadership team,” said Chad Anschuetz, managing shareholder and chairman of the firm. “All of them are remarkable CPAs in their respective practice areas, and possess the skills necessary to serve our clients with distinction and help drive the firm into the future.”

Nearly all of the new shareholders are women, which endorses the firm’s continued efforts to support the development, advancement and retention of women in the accounting industry.

B-Ashorn.jpgBarbara Ashorn, CPA, is based in the firm’s Houston Tax Group, where she focuses on tax compliance and planning strategies for corporate and high-net-worth clients. With more than 20 years of public accounting experience, she has developed a strong corporate client base in the manufacturing and service sectors. A CPA in the State of Texas, Ashorn earned a Master of Science in accounting from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin University.


R-Garcia.jpgRolando Garcia, JD, CPA, assists numerous multinational clients across a wide variety of industries from the firm’s Houston office. A 20-plus year public accounting veteran, Garcia specializes in assisting corporate and individual clients develop their inbound and outbound tax strategies and resolve compliance issues. He holds a CPA license in the State of Texas, as well as a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law Houston and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Pan American University.


K-Judge.jpgKiley Judge, CPA, MBA, is based in the firm’s Troy, Mich. headquarters, where she leads and manages assurance and advisory services for a variety of clients with a niche focus on privately held manufacturers, automotive dealerships, retailers, wholesalers and distributors, as well as non-profits. Leveraging nearly 20 years of public accounting experience, Judge focuses her efforts on helping clients realize their business goals and building long-term sustainability as it relates to their financial position. A graduate of Walsh College with a Master of Business Administration and the University of Michigan Flint with a Bachelor of Accountancy, she is also a licensed CPA in the State of Michigan.

She serves a diverse sector of closely held businesses and its owners in all aspects of domestic taxation. A former professor at Walsh College, she also acts as a leader in the firm’s education program to train clients and firm professionals on a wide range of accounting and tax best practices. Sanderson holds a Master of Science in taxation from American University, a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Western Michigan University and a CPA license in the State of Michigan.

public accounting nearly 20 years ago. Torres dedicates her time to proactively
managing clients in the construction, real estate, health care and professional
services industries with domestic taxation compliance and planning strategies. A
graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Business Administration
and Master of Business Administration degrees in accounting, she also holds a
CPA license in the State of Texas.
